After years of living in the United States, photographer Leonardo Durán Julián decided to portray the complex emotions and journeys that "aliens" experience in the process of starting a new life away from home. He documents the testimonials of people from around the world to raise awareness of the lives "aliens" face while pursuing a new beginning in this country.

Capturing the emotions of resilience, hope, self-improvement, and struggle in his portraits and stories, Leonardo invites his audience to reflect on and witness the human side of migration beyond borders and stereotypes.
